INSPIRING SPEAKERS  •  POWERFUL WORSHIP  •  NETWORK CULTIVATION

The Nexus Professional conference brings together influential professionals from across many industries for a life-changing weekend of dynamic worship and compelling ideas about faith and its relevance to our entire lives. You will interact with recent graduates as well as seasoned professionals.

As Christian leaders in a broken world, it is important that we are unified in our mission to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and engage to transform our culture. This weekend will encourage you and equip you to be a part of God's redemptive plan in your workplace.

“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob,
that he may teach us his ways and that we may walk in his paths.”
-Isaiah 2:3

PLENARY SESSIONS

Vibrant worship, challenging teaching from compelling speakers such as D. Michael Lindsay, Ph.D., interviews with vocational leaders, and testimonies from professionals living out their faith.  The four plenary sessions anchor the conference. Speaker bios can be found here

SEMINARS AND PANELS

A variety of seminars and panels with gifted leaders speaking on the theme of Leading like Christ in the marketplace. Led by leaders in the Christian community, including Ed Morgan, David Taylor, Kimberly Thornbury and others, these are smaller sessions designed for exploring ideas and practical how-to's in living redemptively in our vocations. Speaker bios can be found here

In addition, learn about your own God-given gifts through a StrengthsFinders workshop. Explore strategies for applying your strengths and change the way you look at yourself and the world around you. The StrengthsFinders assessment is included in the conference fee.

BUILDING NETWORKS

You've heard it before: networks are the means through which lives and culture are changed. This conference is convened in large part to facilitate the development of overlapping networks in various spheres while we worship, learn and engage in the big vision.

WORSHIP

Worship at the conference will be led by Pete Manni and his team. Pete has been leading worship for over 25 years. He is the worship minister at Goshen Baptist Church in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Get ready to worship with contemporary and traditional Christian songs.

PRAYER

Prayer undergirds all we do, and this conference is no exception.  The 24 hour prayer room will again be a highlight of the conference experience.  Join in for an hour (or three), have others pray for you, be energized by drawing close to God through prayer.

PROFESSIONALS

This is for professionals, both young and old(er), who feel called to engage and transform our culture with the Gospel. The marketplace is the new mission field and we must know how to work redemptively at the highest levels of professionalism and excellence. Conferees represent numerous fields: banking/finance, education, media, technology, consulting, arts and more.

The Nexus student conference will be running parallel to ours and these students from Christian Union's Princeton, Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Dartmouth, Cornell, Penn, Brown, and Stanford ministries will add a fun element as we share worship times with them.

SPOKEN WORD

Saturday night of the conference, check out the student Spoken Word competition. More than just a Bible memorization contest, students from eight campuses will compete with creative spoken word performances taken directly from Scripture. Be inspired by the artistic delivery of the word of God! Take a look at this video of spoken word from Nexus 2016.
